He was predeceased by: his parents, George Rickard and Lottie Rickard; his siblings, Kathleen, Leila, Frank, Archie, Allison, Florence, Paul, Willis and Nellie; his grandson Jason Rickard; and his daughter-in-law Adele Rickard.

He is survived by: his wife Willa Rickard (Shannon) of Hartland; his children, Mark Rickard (Norma McCarthy) of Kilburn, Brett Rickard of Ottawa, Colleen Crawford (Andrew) and Joel Rickard; his grandchildren, Nicole Rickard, Jordan Crawford (Tiffany), Kaitlin Crawford, Ty Rickard and Abe Rickard; and his great grandchild Mackenzie Crawford. He is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.
