He was predeceased by: his father Dean Shaw; his former wife Peggy Shaw (Stiles); and his siblings, Winnie Purcell, Gerald Shaw, Harold Shaw, Nadine Graham and Monte Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Delong-Shaw; his sons, Roger Shaw (Eveline) and Gary Shaw (Lori); his sister Amy Littlejohn (Robert); his sister-in-law Helen Shaw; and his stepsons, Neville Delong (Janet) and Dana Delong (Joan). He is also survived by many step grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and extended family.
