He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Fletcher and Lois Fletcher (Lord); his grandfather Cecil Lord; and his brothers, Vincent, Eric and Wayne.

He is survived by: his close friend Bonnie Maye of Beresford, NB; his children, Dawn Larsen (Doug) of Cochrane, AB, Dean Fletcher (Stella) of Hanwell, NB and Beth Arsenault (Jake) of Fredericton, NB; and his grandchildren, Emmett, Myra, Owen, Keith and Robbie. He is also survived by relatives or friends.

Prior to COVID, Alton regularly attended church services at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, and enjoyed going to coffee at the McDonald's in Riverview to chat with the folks who gathered on a daily basis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, Diabetes Canada or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
