He is survived by: his wife Janice Irene Smith (Keys); his children, Christopher Smith (Trisha) of Hampton, Tanya Copp (Elias) of Sussex and Amy Forsythe (Colin) of Saint John; his siblings, Bruce Smith (Yvonne) of Sussex, Robert Smith of Norton and Sharon Murray (George) of Saint John; and his grandchildren, Isaiah, Abbie, Zoë and Emma.
