He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ronnie, George, Betty, Sylvia and Dorothy.

He is survived by: his parents, Marjorie Long and Elbert Long; his wife Barbara; his mother-in-law Mary O'Blenis; his children, Charlene (Steve) and Ken (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Kayla, Brayden, Ella, Ryan and Liam; and his siblings, Elbert (Evelyn), Jerry (Valerie), John (Norine), Stephen (Yvette), Margo (Steve), Susan (Russ), Judy (Eddie) and Linda.

Donations in memory of Murray may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
