She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald DeBow and Lorna DeBow (Colpitts); and her son Richard Smith. She is survived by: her husband Peter Smith; her daughters, Cheryl Smith (Jeff McCavour) of Truro, NS, Janet Vincent (LeRoy) of Renforth, NB and Diane Barry (Jeff) of Valley, NS; her grandchildren, Brett, Caitlin, Niels, Annah, Emmah, Erin and Kelsey; her sister Jean Hodgson (Rick); her siblings-in-law, Paul Smith (Anne) and Rosina Soucy (Erney); and her close friends, Gail and Martin Fewer. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
