It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Van Rooyen of Hampton, New Brunswick, born in Coachmans Cove, Newfoundland, who passed away on April 19, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Traverse and Molly Traverse (Philpott); and her sister Jacinta Rideout. She is survived by: her husband Jack Van Rooyen of Hampton, NB; her son Eric Van Rooyen of Hampton, NB; her grandchildren, Ava and Wesley; her children, DJ Van Rooyen of Saint John, NB and Henry Rennick (Sara) of Hampton, NB; her grandchildren, Connor, Carly and Sadie; her child Vallerie Veinot of Salt Springs, NB; her grandchild Chris; and her siblings, Art Traverse (Ophelia), Garry Traverse (Donna), Jim Traverse (Mary), John Traverse (Adelaine), Paul Traverse, Edward Traverse, Bill Traverse (Jesse), Anna Hoven (Lar) and Irene Pumphrey (Joe). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
