She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Grant and Effie Grant (Rhynard); her husband Ralph Gates; and her siblings, Mary, Idela, Ruth, Doris, Myrna, Joe, Eddie, Freeman and George.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Long (Arthur) of Hampton, NB and Edward Gates (Dorina) of Belleisle Creek, NB; her grandchildren, Nancy Sherwood (Lloyd), Steven Long, Gabriel Gates (Carla), Jasiah Gates, Clayton Morrell (Cheryl), John-Paul Morrell (Melissa) and Lodia Gates; and her siblings, Kenny Grant (June) of Bridgetown, NS and Joyce Wiles of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
