He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McMackin and Sarah McMackin (Meehan); and his siblings, Jim (Ruth), David (Bertha), Bernie, Peter, Anna McMackin and Josie Beyea (Bert).
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis McMackin (Doherty); his children, Vincent McMackin of Halifax, NS, Joe McMackin (Emiliana) of Gatineau Quebec, Beth MacNutt (Wade) of Saint John and Elward P. McMackin (Regan Kippers) of Hampton; his grandchildren, Victor, Max, Chris McMackin, Weston and Abby MacNutt; his siblings, Mary McMackin, Roberta, Donna McPhee (Mike), Barbie Seely (Norman), Joe (Barb), Andy (Maureen), Pat (Ruby) and Henry; and his sisters-in-law, Bertha Sheppard, Millie Doherty and Edna Allen.
