He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn; his grandparents, Don, Teresa McManus (Moran), Leo and Patricia Johnson (Garrett); his brother Andrew; and his uncles, Steven McManus, Ernest Johnson (Butch), Jack Johnson and Bobby Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Johnson (McBride); his father Wayne Johnson (Joy Patriquen); his brothers, Matthew Johnson (Gilda) and Christopher Johnson (Shanice); his parents-in-law, Maurice McBride and Dianne McBride; his brother-in-law Anthony McBride; his aunts and uncles, Barbara Johnson, Stephen Johnson (Trish), Peggy Winchester (Stephen), Danny Johnson (Angela), Patti Montgomery (Kirk), Joan Johnson, Michael McManus (Joanne), David McManus (Brenda) and Kevin McManus; his niece Mia Johnson; and his nephews, Emmett and Anderson Johnson.
