He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayward Sturgeon and Janet Sturgeon (Coughlan); his son Fenton Garland Sturgeon; his sister Marie Carnahan; and his brothers-in-law, Clement Brennan, Jack Jardine and Donald Carnahan.
He is survived by: his wife Leona; his children, Ann Martin (Ron), Jeff (Judy) of Hopewell Cape, NB, Armond (Pamela) of Miramichi, NB and Millar (Corinna) of Miramichi, NB; his siblings, Iona Langen (Ron) of Guelph, ON, Mamie Jardine (late Jack) of Gray Rapids, NB, Joan Kelly (Ivan) of Miramichi, NB and Boyd of Gray Rapids, NB; his daughter-in-law Wendy Sturgeon (late Fenton) of Blackville, NB; his grandchildren, Mandy Sturgeon (Allain) of Hopewell Cape, NB, Shane Sturgeon (Kerry) of Hampton, NB, Josh (Julie) of Edmonton, AB, Christopher (Holly) of Blackville, NB, Matthew (Vanessa) of Blackville, NB and Janessa Hogan; and his great grandchildren, Kyleigh of Hopewell Cape, NB, Emily of Blackville, NB, Isabella, Aubrie, Caleb of Blackville, NB, Tori of Blackville, NB, Carter of Hampton, NB and Olivia of Blackville, NB..
