He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Kenneth Sturgeon Sr. of White Rapids; his wife Lois Sturgeon (Underhill); his children, Trent of Gray Rapids and Andrea (Darren Underhill) of Fredericton; his grandchildren, Emma Sturgeon, Breanna, Max and Lexie Underhill; his mother Reta Sturgeon of White Rapids; his brothers, Irving Sturgeon (Joan) of Miramichi and Bentley Sturgeon (Twila) of Gray Rapids; his mother-in-law Jennie Underhill; his siblings-in-law, Winsor Underhill (Marlene) of Blackville, Nelda Sturgeon (late Dana) of Gray Rapids, Twila Shaw (Donald) of Napan and Velma Ward (William) of Red Bank; and his siblings, Fearon Sturgeon of White Rapids and Sheena Sturgeon of Rexton, NB.. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
