He was predeceased by: his parent Currie Curtis; and his daughter Donna. He is survived by: his parent Mabel Curtis; his wife Rose Curtis (Stewart); his children, Marcus (Joanne) of Blackville, Lynn (Steven Lukings) of Prince William, NB, Diane Curtis of McKenzie, BC, Jeanette Curtis of Gray Rapids and Valda (Jeremy Colford) of Gray Rapids; his siblings, Sheila (Alvin Kelly), Iona (Dale Coughlan), Borden (Glenna) of Gray Rapids and Blaine (Wilma) of Barnettville; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Dillen, Jordan, Connor, Tanner, Kendra, Hannah, Brayden, Ayesha and Lincoln. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Diabetes Association.
