He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hermenegilde and Marie-Rose Malenfant (Dupuis); his children-in-law, Dominique Byram and Nicole Caron; and his siblings, Florant, Germaine, Juliette, Alice, Berthe, Eva-Rose, Leonie and Lise.

He is survived by: his children, Lucie (Doris McCluskey) of Saint-Leonard, Jean-Yves (Pierre Bourgeois) of Ottawa, Paulette (James Violette), Francoise (Carmel St-Amand) of Saint-Leonard, Marie-Mai (Richard Caron), Normand (Lise Prefontaine) of Edmundston, Carole (Ronald Nadeau), Celine (Maurice Page) of Saint-Leonard, Doris (Clermont Poitras) of Grand Falls and Marie-Claude (Jeannot Cyr) of Quebec; and his siblings, Fleurienne Robert of Lac-St and Roland (Rose-Marie Cormier) of Metabetchouan. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren.
