He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyprien Godbout and Alice Godbout (Gagnon); and his siblings, Louis-Philippe, Réal Godbout, Léonie Dubé, Annette Gendreau and Ita Rioux.
He is survived by: his children, Francine Devost (Red) and Gaston Godbout (Suzanne) of Grand Falls; and his brother Bertin Godbout of Grand Falls. He is also survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
