He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmot Earl and Mary Olive Murchison (Hartt); and his siblings, Adrian, Sheldon, Delbert, Merrold, Beacher Murchison, Emma Holmes, Leitha Holmes, Lillian Michaud, Edith and Etta Murchison.

He is survived by: his wife Marie-May Caron; his daughters, Robertine Marquis (Mario) of Grand Falls, Patricia Geneau (Cyr) of Flin Flon, Monic Ouellette (Zoël) of Grand Falls and Paula Murchison (Michel Parent) of Edmundston; his grandchildren, Mélanie, Karine, April, Jamie, Dominic, Frédéric and Marc-André; his brother Earlen (Shirley) of Ancaster; and his brothers-in-law, Joseph Holmes (late Leitha) and Ron Michaud (late Lillian). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
