He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Laforest and Leda Laforest (Bellefleur); and his siblings, Gloria Parent (Al) of Illinois, Venette McIntyre (Bob) of Oklahoma, Yolande Thorpe (Bill) of Ohio, Aurore Corbin (late Jules) of Saint John, Lucien (Carmen) of Moncton and Dollard (Gert) of Moncton.
He is survived by: his sons, Louis (Lisa) of Drummond and Jean (Carole Beaulieu) of Keswick; his grandchildren, Joel, Fiona, Cynthia (Aaron Cabel) of Moncton and Jazmine (Ryan VanPelt) of Drummond; and his siblings, Wilda Powers (Bernard) of Virginia Beach, Jean Boudreau (late Leo) of Bathurst, Doreen Tierney (late George) of Illinois and Laurier "Jack" of New Brunswick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
