He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Toner and Gertrude Toner (Kilfoil); his daughter Nicole; his son-in-law Tyler Francis; his grandson Ryan Francis; and his siblings, Georgina, Jeanne (late Bill Brennan), Claude (late Susan Rideout) and Thomas "Timmy" (Carmelle Durepos).

He is survived by: his children, Georgina Melanson (Vincent) of Shediac Cape, Damien (Maria Levesque) of Grand Falls, Carolyn Dawson (Bob) of Burton, N. B., Teddy (Madeleine Levesque) of Grand Falls, Paula Toner Pelletier (Jean) of Dalhousie, Esther Gaudet (André) of Memramcook, Guy (Lyne Ouellette) of Saint-André and Vance (Geneviève Grondin) of Saint-Jacques; his grandchildren, Josée, Anick, Stéphane, Martine, Eric Melanson, Brigitte, Katherine, Patrick, Chantal Toner, Sarah, Philip, Racheal Dawson, Emmanuel, Marie-Louise, Christian, Renée-Claude Toner, Robert, François, Marie-Jo Pelletier, Justine, Marco, Myriam, Robin Gaudet, Simon, Julie, Denis Toner, Drew and Marika Toner; his great grandchildren, Aurélie, Zachary, Charlotte, Makayla, Annelie, Élise, Kovi, Amélia, Élie, Jillian, Chelsea and Penny; and his brothers, Wilfred (Julie Leblanc), Frederick (late Anita Boudreau) and Brian (Laureen Ouellette). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
