He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred V. Bourgoin and Emma Bourgoin (Pinette); and his siblings, Oscar, Gilles, Médéric, Adrien, Monique, Sylvio, Lévite, Alfred Junior, Gracien, Nicole and Jean-Marie.

He is survived by: his children, Lyzanne Bourgoin (Danny Desjardins) of Saint-André and Eric Bourgoin (Mélanie Bédard) of Grand Falls; his granddaughters, Stéphanie and Gabrielle; his former wife Martha Bourgoin (Levesque) of Grand Falls; and his sisters, Jacqueline Morin of Grand Falls, Danielle Michaud (Adrien) of Drummond, Florence Bourgoin of Montreal, Jaline Bourgoin of Montreal and Marie-Ange Bourgoin of Grand Falls.
