She was predeceased by: her spouse Bertin Gauvin; her parents, Edmond and Émilie (Desjardins); her daughters, Carmelle Gauvin, Guilda Ruest and Ginette Gauvin; and her siblings, Edmer (late Jeannette), Gérard (late Edmay), Edna, Côté (late Hermel) and Anne Jordan.

She is survived by: her children, Réginald (Gisèle) of Palm Coast, Clermont (Johanna) of The Netherlands, Murielle Ruest (late Gilles) of Texas City, Robert (Janice) of Plainville, Connecticut, Harold (Theresa) of Holden, Maine, Daniel (Denise) of Grand Falls and Lynne (Wayne Nadeau) of Drummond; and her siblings, Melvin Tardif (Simone) of Saint-Leonard and Hilda Dufour (late Gérald Gauvin). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.

For those who wish, donations to the Activities Comity of the Falls Villa would be appreciated by the family.

“We are so sorry to hear that Aunt Esmay has passed. Connie and I, Gilman, want to offer our condolences to all of you. She and Uncle Bertin were very special people- thoughtful of others and very loving. We will always remember being at their home on an anniversary of theirs. As Connie and I were recently engaged, they took the time to give us their prescription for a loving marriage- advice we adhere to to this day - 43 years later. She’ll be missed.”
