He was predeceased by: his parents, Pierre Lavoie and Lauré Lavoie (Côté); and his sisters, Rita Lavoie, Clauda "Toody" (late Leroy "Pooch" Felmey) and Victoire (late Enoïl Michaud).

He is survived by: his wife Claudette Pelletier; his daughters, Connie Cohen of Waldoboro, Maine, Lisa (Louis Berceli) of Manchester, New Hampshire and Amy (Riccardo Pappini) of Windsor; his grandchildren, Joshua Steward (Sarah), Alan Green IV (Lindsay) and Renée Green (Nick); his great grandchildren, Liam, Evelyn and Jayson; and his brother Roger (late Linda) of Las Vegas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
