With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Effie Vaillancourt of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, born in Saint-Leonard-Parent, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 5, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Pierre Vaillancourt; her parents, Alphé G. Poitras and Hélène "Nellie" Poitras (Michaud); her child Guillaume; her grandson Nicholas Vaillancourt; and her siblings, Irene Michaud, Jeanne Morin, Richard "Buster" Poitras, Matthieu "Matt" Poitras and Euclide "Blanc" Poitras (Cyr).

She is survived by: her children, Linda, Etienne, Gilles (Ginette), Eveline, Noreen, Gaëtanne, Gaëtan, Pierre (Céline), Rosemai, Normand, Armand, Edmond, Yves, Jacqueline (Ian), Guy, Danette, Marie and Eliane; and her sister Mona Parent of Hartford, Connecticut..
