He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Gauvin and Clara Gauvin (Desjardins); his daughters, Carmelle Gauvin, Guilda Ruest and Ginette Gauvin; and his siblings, Hector, Rodrigue, Alveo, Gerald, Gilbert, Gertrude Thibeault, Lillianne Soucy, Monique Byram and Viola Collin.
He is survived by: his spouse Esmay Tardif; his children, Reginald (Gisele) of Palm Coast, Clermont (Johanna) of The Netherlands, Murielle Ruest (Gilles) of Drummond, Robert (Janice) of Plainville, Harold (Theresa) of Notre-Dame, Daniel (Denise) of Grand Falls and Lynne Nadeau (Wayne) of Drummond; and his siblings, Gene (Carol) of Florida, Armand of Connecticut and Rita Gregory of Tampa. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
