She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice McCarthy and Ivan McCarthy (Portage) of Grand Falls; and her niece Cherie Porter. She is survived by: her husband Norbert Challie; her siblings, Bonnie (Wendell Porter), Mike McCarthy (late Alice Belzile) and Peter McCarthy (Jacinthe Desjardins); and her nieces and nephews, Ivan Porter, Nina McCarthy, Christina McCarthy, Jonathan McCarthy and Jason McCarthy.
