Cécile Cormier Obituary
Cécile Cormier, 65, of Grand-Barachois passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Grand-Barachois on November 17th, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Laurie and Juliette (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. She retired from Correctional Services Canada with 32 years of service. Cécile enjoyed knitting, reading, puzzles and playing cards.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Marc Fournier (Jonie); step-son, Acquila "Jr."; a sister, Lorette Duguay (François); three brothers: Clovis (Émerise), Bernard (Murielle), and Jacques (Yvette); three grandchildren: Christopher, Acquila "A.J.", and Brennan; two great grandchildren: Mason and Sebastian . She was predeceased by her husband, Acquila (2002) and her brother, Léo-Paul (1961).
Visitation from 9 am until time of service followed by a reception at the centre. A thank you goes out to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative care unit of the Dr. Georges L. Dumont UHC for the attentive care given to Cécile. Special thanks to Dr. Ali Benjelloun and Dr. Elaine Landry. In memory of Cécile, a contribution to the palliative care unit at Dr. Georges-L.
