She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Sowers and Velma Sowers (Hawkins); her husband Gordon Banks; and her brothers, Ronnie and Gerald.

She is survived by: her sons, Greg (Susan), Geoff (Alanna), Darren (Isabelle) and Shawn (Stacey); her grandsons, Benjamin, Alexander and Lukas; and her siblings, Glenwood, Diana, Joyce, Shirley Anne and Jackie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
