He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Brian Brooks (Tarzan) of St. Mary and Geraldine Paul; his wife Mary Brooks; his siblings, Walter Brooks, Jose Paul, Pauline Paul and Susan Brooks; and his nephew Douglas Paul.

He is survived by: his children, William Brooks (Jeannie Arbeau), Nicole Carty and Marystar Brooks (Jeremey Underhill); his grandchildren, Tristen Chappelle (Toronto), Hart Brooks, Quentyn McCormack, Sicillie McCormack, Alyssa Estey, Selena Brooks, Braeden Carty, Sadie Carty, Ondrey Brooks, Isaac Underhill, Haidyn Underhill, Madden Underhill and Nova Underhill; and his siblings, Shirley Howe (Morely), Maureen Fox (Brian), Dean Brooks (Darlene), Wayne Brooks (Kim) and Brad Paul (Kerry). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a few special sons and daughters.
