She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Howe and Edith Howe (Jardine); and her siblings, Gordon, Wesley, Larry Howe and Linda Morrison.
She is survived by: her husband Merlin Smith; her children, Donna and Kenneth; and her brothers, David Howe (Judy) of Fredericton and Darrell Howe (Joanne) of Cofton, BC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
