He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorimer Whitman and Nellie Whitman (Drysdale); his wife Roxie (Watson); and his daughter Betty Sanderson. He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Scott (Eugene) of Fredericton, Robert (Judy) of Pictou County, NS, Brenda Whitman (Ken Hetherington) of Hanwell, Vicki Whitman (Al Jones) of Scotch Lake, NB and James Whitman (Erin) of Maugerville, NB. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada and the Hope for Wildlife would be appreciated by the family.
