She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha and Anthony Agnew; her husband Theodore Sands; her close friend Don Abbott; her son Douglas (Betty); her son-in-law Richard Lavoie; and her granddaughter Louella (Gormley).

She is survived by: her daughter Caroline; her niece Jessy; her grandchildren, Rick, Shirley, Brenda and Doug Jr.; and her close friends, Alice Taylor and Helen Speight.
