She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Laidlaw and Jessie Laidlaw (Mackay); and her sibling Moira Laidlaw. She is survived by: her friend Sharon Simms; her brother-in-law John Laidlaw; her children, Fiona, Alison and Colin; and her cousins, Nancy, Kathleen and Scotland.

In lieu of flowers, Sheila had requested donations be made to Farraline Place or Hospice House, both located in Fredericton.
