He was predeceased by: his parents, John Samuel and Pearl Edwina Gilbey (Crouse); his wife Florence "Gillie"; and his sisters, Ann Cameron (Walter) and Sandra Burtt (Brian).
He is survived by: his stepmother Margaret Irene (Beck); his grandsons, Christian and Jonathan; his children, Dale Gilbey (Maxine), Lynn Gallagher (Rick), Danny Gilbey (Nicki) and Brenda Paradis (Marc); his grandchildren, Darci, Ashlyn, James and Jeremy; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Ben, Ember, Sawyer, Jaxon and Ayla.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the York Funeral Home (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2).
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
