We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2020, Salem Masry (Fredericton, New Brunswick) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Salem Masry to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Catrina and Ragheb; and his brother Maged. He is survived by: his wife Laila; his children, Mark (Karen), Paul (Carrie) and Emily; his grandchildren, Kate and Luke; his sister Samiha (Salah); and his nephew Khaled.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fredericton Food Bank in Salem's memory. Service Location St. Dunstan's Catholic Church Requested Charity.

“Please excuse me for being so late in writing this message, but I just learned of his passing, some 3+ years ago now. I worked for Sam as a programmer on the PDP-11 in the 1981-1982 range. This was prior to Universal Systems and CARIS. He was a dynamic unassuming man who always treated me fairly. In the ensuing years, I've often thought of him, and was pleased his dream of a land & resource management system came to fruition. Rest in peace my friend. - Gary L. Gill”
