He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Shaw and Ellen Shaw (Hurley); his mother-in-law Ruby Murdoch (Donahue); his sister Wendy-Lynn Stevens; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy, Roberta Murdoch and Robert Murdoch.

He is survived by: his wife Verna Marie Shaw (Murdoch); his children, Angela Davies (Ross) of St. Andrews, PE, Bobby (Tammy) of Tsawwassen, BC and Jamie (Jennifer) of Maple Ridge, BC.; his grandchildren, Robert Davies (Leah Kovatch) of Lethbridge, AB, Patrick Davies, Samantha Shaw of Maple Ridge, BC, Jordyn and Georgia-Rain Shaw of Tsawwassen, BC.; his brother Blaine (Terry) of Nanton, AB; and his siblings-in-law, Darrell Murdoch (Eleanor), Ronald Murdoch and Elaine Murdoch.
