He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil and Mildred (Coughlan); his wife Martha; and his siblings, Douglas, Murray and Geraldine Markey.

He is survived by: his children, Ross (Kelly), Dave (Lori) and Carolyn (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew Gorman, Sydney and Leah Paterson; and his cousin Helen Jean Gorman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
