She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsa Merrill and Julian Merrill; her son Dave Bjerkelund; her close friend Homere Dansereau; her brother Peter Merrill; and the father of her children Tom Bjerkelund.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Bjerkelund of Mactaquac, NB, Jim Bjerkelund (Cathy) of Hantsport, NS, Pete Bjerkelund (Tone Meeg) of Fredericton, NB and Sue Bjerkelund; her grandchildren, Dana (Shelby), Jamie (Sarah), Lindsey (Patrick), Michael, Kai, Carly and Daniel; her great grandchildren, Henry, David, Anna, Samuel and Finnley; and her sisters-in-law, Mandy Bjerkelund of Ottawa, ON and Viki Bjerkelund-Usiskin.
