With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Michael Wayne Adams of Fredericton, New Brunswick, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Michael Wayne left this world on February 7, 2025 at the age of 70, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolores Winnifred Adams McDermaid (Deredin) and Edwin Adams; his stepfather William McDermaid; his brother Harold Adams; and his aunts and uncles, Mary Martin (Deredin), Catherine Trevors (Deredin), Raymond Deredin and Wilbur Deredin.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra (Lance) of Fredericton; his sons, Shawn Lance (Jennifer) of Totteham, Matthew Adams (Kathryn) of Truro and Tyler Adams of Fredericton; his grandchildren, Lucas, Meadow, Jaylynn, Vanessa and Vera; his siblings, Debi (Adams), Stark (Ed) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Wayne Adams (Midge) of Ajax and Richard Lee Adams (Leslie) of Napanee, Ontario; and his uncle Louis Galliah (Paula) of Miramichi. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home Ltd. (140 King St, Miramichi, NB E1N2N9). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Michael's Basilica (10 Howard St, Miramichi, NB E1N3A7).
As expressions of sympathy, in memory of Michael and in honour of the outstanding care he received at Hospice House Fredericton, donations may be made to Hospice House Fredericton or a charity of the donor's choice.
