She was predeceased by: her husband Paul E. Birney of Fredericton; her parents, Alma Flanders (Albert) and Hubert Miles Flanders; and her siblings, Harold, Clayton, Marcus, Patricia, Charlene and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Susan George and Peter Birney (Cecilia); her grandchildren, Allison Taylor (Bobby), Adam Bates and Maggie Birney; her great grandchildren, Jase and Nova Taylor; and her sister-in-law Patricia Flanders. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
