He is survived by : his children, Mark Brooks III (Kareen), Sally Brooks, Matthew Brooks, Elissa Brooks and Jessie Brooks; his grandchildren, Mark IV, Graydon, Tessa, Kohen, Kingston, Eva, Shaylee, Kaila, Margaret, Kingsley, Mikey, Caleb, Kailey (Kody) and Gracelyn; and his siblings, Cindy Brooks (Sheldon), Linda Verruyt (Bart), Frank Brooks (Lorraine), Randy Brooks (Sheila), Alice Paul, Sandra Adamen, Tom Brooks (Phyllis), William Brooks (Stella), Cecil Brooks (Laurie), Ida Henry (Daniel), Arnold Brooks, Richard Brooks, Dion Brooks, Dana Brooks (Willa), Toby Brooks (April) and Billy Brooks (Jeannie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Maqiyahtimok Center (250 Paul St, St. Mary's First Nation). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St Anthony's Catholic Church (603 Union St, Fredericton, NB E3A3N5).
