Though Marilyn Patricia has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Thorpe and Dorothy Thorpe (Durost). She is survived by: her sisters, Evelyn Mann and Jeanne Lee; her husband Charles Rowan; her sons, James Rowan (Deserie) and David Rowan (Laura); and her granddaughters, Rachel and Molly. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and their children; and by her extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McAdam's Funeral Home (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Dunstan's Catholic Church (120 Regent St, Fredericton, NB E3B4Y9).
Although she fought fiercely to maintain independence, Alzheimer's was an implacable foe. In lieu of flowers, to honor her struggle the family suggests a donation to the Alzheimer's Society.
