He was predeceased by: his parents, William Butler and Marian Butler; his brother David Butler; and his parents-in-law, Pearl and Harold Muggah.
He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Rob (Angee Singer) of Toronto, Keith (Raelene Russell) of St. John's and Kim (Pat Feltmate) of Fredericton; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Ireland, Robbie, Sam, Matt, Emily, Annabelle and Charlie.
