He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignace Légère and Rita Losier; his sister Jeannette; his niece Kristine; his brother Laurent; and his adoptive parent Avila (Josephine Rioux).

He is survived by: his stepson William Dempsey; his siblings, Eugene (Denise), Donald (Debbie), Fernand, Danny (Ursula), Linda (Pierre) and Christie-Anne; his close friend Wendy Dionne; and his pet Dora.
