He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Sparkes and Mary Louise Sparkes (Fullarton); his son Elvis Savard; his siblings, Lynwood Sparkes and Joan Munn (Sparkes); and his niece Tara Graham.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Caleb and Kasia; his wife Olivia Sparkes (Savard); his children, Shawn Sparkes, Christa Sparkes (Anthony), Shane Sparkes (Sherri-Lynn), Tamara Sparkes and Sarah Sparkes (Sam); and his siblings, Bob Sparkes (Brenda), Margaret Colford (Marty) and Marilyn Sparkes (Junior). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
