He was predeceased by: his parents, Appaiah Sastry and Lalithamba. He is survived by: his wife Sita Lakshmi; his children, Uma, Ashok and Usha (Boris Allard); and his grandchildren, Maia, Joshua and Laurent. He is also survived by four brothers, a sister and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McAdam's Funeral Home (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sastry's name to Hospice House in Fredericton, Diabetes Canada and the Fredericton Homeless Shelter.
