He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Butler and Margaret McMann (Dykeman); his sister Lorna Hare; and his stepbrother Beverley McMann. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer MacFarlane (Benjamin) of Killarney and Janice Butler (Jason Storey) of Fredericton; the mother of his children Brenda Butler (Thomas); his nieces, Debbie Hallett (Todd) and Bronwyn; and his nephew Michael Hare (Joanna).
