He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Smith and Phyllis Smith; his former wife Anne; his siblings, Albert, Paul Smith and Dorothy Gillies; his brothers-in-law, Ken Chase, Glen Kilburn, Dave Cripps and Paul Munn; and also, Donald, Raye, Merlin, Vernon Warren and Kenny Chase.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Brown; his son Kevin Smith (Sherri Lynn); his stepson Gregory Moore; his siblings, Edward Smith (Donna Lee), Margaret Chase, Barbara Kilburn (Kirk Wilson), Mary Vanginhoven (John) and Bonnie Grey (Brian); and his siblings-in-law, Carol, June Smith, Eva Munn, Alida Cripps, Donald Gillies, David Saunders (Anita) and Dennis Warren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
