He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Dewar and May Dewar; his brother Herbert; his sister-in-law Lillian Dewar; and his brother James Dewar (Olive Hoffman).
He is survived by: his sister Ruth; his siblings-in-law, Bill Hannon of Milford and Judy Dewar of St. Stephen, NB.; and his nieces and nephews, Lane Dewar, Larry Hannon, Diane Fillmore, Bonnie Richards, Heather Cleveland, Joanne Levkoe and Janet Monaghan. He is also survived by several great-nieces, great nephews, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews.
