She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barry (Bill) and Mary Ann Carey. She is survived by: her siblings, Ellen and Gordon; her niece Melissa (Tom Howard); her nephew Ryan O'Connor (Emma Johnson); her great-nephew Whalen Howard; her great-nieces, Violet and Hannah O'Connor; her friends, Sandra Buchanan and Judy Steeves; and her caregiver Judy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you direct your donations to Hospice House in Fredericton.
