She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Godwin; her parents, Joseph Martin and Florence Martin (Alridge); and her siblings, Florence Elliot, Irene Lizzimore, Joan Struther (George), Joseph, Edwin and Thomas Martin.

She is survived by: her children, Julie Godwin of Nova Scotia, Janice Godwin-LeBlanc (Kim) of New Brunswick and Martin Godwin (Sandra Ayotte) of Nova Scotia; her grandchildren, Matthew Rogers (Christine Morris) of Nova Scotia, Justin Payne (Jihyeon Sim) of Nova Scotia, Jennifer McDonald (Mathew Martin) of New Brunswick, Lindsay McDonald of New Brunswick, Stephanie Murray (Jason) of Alberta and Michele LeBlanc (Alex Currie) of New Brunswick; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Logan, Alexis, Brantley, Layla, Chloe and Blaine; and her sister Vera McSweeney (Oliver) of England. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; many great friends.
