He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Douc; his wife Karen Hansen; and his brother-in-law Tommy Russell. He is survived by: his stepfather Louis Pelletier (Alma Pelletier); his sons, David Hansen, Richard Doucette and Robert Doucette; and his stepdaughter Michelle Ivey. He is also survived by five grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings.
